We are pleased to announce that in December 2023, Japan's largest designer jewelry event "New Jewelry TOKYO 2023" will be held in one of the world's leading mixed cultured cities.
It is a business-to-consumer event providing customers with jewelry brand items that show a glimpse of designers' imagination and innovation. This year marks our 14th event since 2010, when we started as an exhibition for customers to experience the creativity of jewelry itself from multiple perspectives by interacting with each piece directly, feeling its details and textures.
Our event has grown to welcome more than 10,000 visitors during the three days it is held, becoming essential to know the "current scene" in the jewelry industry.
This year at Spiral in Aoyama, we welcome around 120 exhibitors for the event, mainly designer jewelry brands and artists who experiment with new approaches for their creations. In addition to jewelry brands, specialty shops, galleries, bookstores, food vendors, and a number of our regular workshops fill the event with rich content for the visitors to feel our concept of "See, buy, create, and experience" that we hold since our foundation.
New Jewelry TOKYO 2023 delivers the "current scene" that spins out to the future of designer jewelry through diverse viewpoints. We hope to see you at the venue to absorb its luster.

Once again, we welcome highly popular brands such as januka, Fillyjonk, and Shelby, as well as SIRI SIRI with their enticing blend of Japanese traditional skills with contemporary designs. We are also happy to have new faces; KATSUYOSHI SHIMADA, a forging artist and a researcher of the wrists, and KIM HYOJIN STUJIO, who offers wearable sculptures, joining us for the first time.

This will be an opportunity to bring the contemporary jewelry gallery pioneers, gallery deux poissons and HOLE IN THE WALL, together with jewelry specialty store Fuligo shed, which allures its fans in the Tokai area (mid-south of Japan) deeply by its unique sense of aesthetic. We also invite BERYL BOOKS, a second-hand bookstore specializing in gemstones and jewelry, to join us again to share their collection of aged books.

This year, we will hold four special workshops, including earring making using gem polishing technique guided by TAKUMA GEM CARVING, whose charisma brings modern sensibility into crafts of 300-year tradition, and ring and bangle making by a metal crafting class "hum JINGUMAE workshop" produced by the jewelry brand hum. This is your rare chance to experience a creative moment with lectures from the craftspersons themselves. Please keep your eyes on the latest news, as our workshops will be fully booked very early.

To promote SDGs within the jewelry industry, we will have a special booth to introduce JAPAN REFINED METAL ASSOCIATION.
"REFINE METAL PROJECT" is a movement to popularize recycled precious metals as "refined metals," which reuse unused resources in the country, including urban mines. It was founded by the jewelry brand hum in 2018 and later established as a General Incorporated Association in 2021 to make this a movement that involves the entire industry. Now with members from other fields of expertise joining us, we continue to work energetically.
New Jewelry LLC works on the 12th goal of the SDGs, "Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns." We believe that using "refined metal" encourages sustainable production or consumption, and means taking responsibility for preserving the beautiful Earth for the future.
At the special booth, we will explain for those who wish to use refined metal in their jewelry creation and welcome applications for the Association.

JAPAN REFINED METAL ASSOCIATION
We will be exhibiting a collection of a well-known mineral specimen collector in Japan, Kazuto Kameda.
There are certain mineral specimens cut out from nature that catch your eyes almost instinctively with their form, beauty, vividness, and uniqueness of mineral combination.
Each of them is an art piece created by nature, namely "fine minerals," born from the movement of the Earth. Kameda is one of the few collectors in Japan who specialize in this mineral genre.
At New Jewelry TOKYO 2023, we invite Kameda to share the rare beauty of these exceptional crystals. We welcome you to take a moment to observe and enjoy the world of fine minerals.
◆Kameda Kazuto's profile
One of Japan's acknowledged fine mineral collectors who runs a mineral specimen store "PEANUTS MINERALS" in Hiroshima. He participated in publishing "BRUTUS magazine Bizarre Mineral Handbook 1, 2" in 2022 and 2023, consisting mainly of mineral specimens purchased in Tucson, Arizona, America. This became a hot topic to gather many enthusiasts' trust with his sense of aesthetics. Since then, he has exhibited and produced events to introduce "Bizarre Minerals" across the country, including Tokyo (DAIKANYAMA TSUTAYA BOOKS), Osaka (UMEDA TSUTAYA BOOKS), Kyoto (LAQUE SHIJO KARASUMA), and more. A combined version of "Bizarre Mineral Handbook 1, 2" will be published by the end of 2023, and a fine mineral book is planned to be released at the end of February 2024, under the name of Kameda Kazuto.

BERYLBOOKS
A second-hand bookstore specialized in handling gemstones and jewelry books. Imported books, museum catalogs, technical books about gemstones, engraving, contemporary jewelry, etc. You can find plenty of publications to enjoy New Jewelry TOKYO at a deeper level.
During the event from 1st (Fri) to 3rd (Sun) December, visitors who came and posted with mentions for New Jewelry TOKYO 2023 on Instagram and X (Twitter) have a chance to win a drink ticket for mitosaya botanical distillery on 3F!
